Once upon a dream
This piece explores a playful technique called “inlay”, where threads are woven over a plain weave structure. The threads move in and out of the weave changing where they are seen from back to front and lay over the structural weave. This also means you can play with the length of these weft shots as they are interwoven between the plain weave. These delicate feature create movement along the piece where it seems like the pink blocks are dancing like musical notes in a dream haze.
